"Unknown Disturbance"

Are cougars and mountain lions the same animal?

Yep, cougars and mountain lions are the exact same animal, along with pumas, panthers, and catamounts; they are all different regional names for the species Puma concolor ("same color" in Latin), a large, solitary cat native to the Americas, noted for its wide range and inability to roar. The different names often depend on where the cat is found, such as "panther" in Florida (a specific subspecies) or "cougar" in Canada, but they all refer to the same cat.

Please Note: Archival Museum Wrap Canvas prints are also available in the sizes listed by special order. They will have "black" side panels, wire hangers and no frame, but can be framed. Please use the "Contact Artist Form" below to request pricing for the size you desire, and I will contact you with a price.
